RSV SHOT NOW AVAILABLE!

We now have Nirsevimab (Beyfortus) available in our office for our patients! This injection protects our youngest from RSV (respiratory syncytial virus).

RSV is a respiratory virus that causes typical upper respiratory symptoms in most people. In our youngest and most vulnerable patients, it is a common cause of wheezing, respiratory distress, and sometimes hospitalization during the winter season.

This monoclonal antibody acts like an immunization and offers immediate protection against severe illness from this common virus.

  • One dose of Nirsevimab is recommended for all babies born during or right before the RSV season who are under 8 months of age.
  • One dose of Nirsevimab is recommended for some children age 8 to 19 months who are entering their second RSV season and are at higher risk of serious illness.

** At this time, we have doses for babies who are younger than 8 months and UNDER 11 lbs.

We expect to receive doses for infants over 11 lbs soon so stay tuned!

Call our office to schedule an appointment for this injection. We have appointments starting next week.

We will also be offering this injection at our 10-day health supervision visits.
