Nirsevimab (Beyfortus) now available in our office for our patients! This injection protects our youngest from RSV (respiratory syncytial virus).

RSV is a respiratory virus that causes typical upper respiratory symptoms in most people. In our youngest and most vulnerable patients, it is a common cause of wheezing, respiratory distress, and sometimes hospitalization during the winter season.

This monoclonal antibody acts like an immunization and offers immediate protection against severe illness from this common virus.

  • One dose of Nirsevimab is recommended for all babies born during or right before the RSV season who are under 8 months of age.
  • One dose of Nirsevimab is recommended for some children age 8 to 19 months who are entering their second RSV season and are at higher risk of serious illness.

Call our office to schedule an appointment for this injection. We have appointments starting next week.

We will continue to be offer this injection at our 10-day health supervision visits.
